PV Doctor Launches Smart O&M Portal, Bringing Advanced Solar Performance Intelligence to Asset Owners Worldwide
PV Doctor today announced the official launch of the PV Doctor Smart O&M Portal, a next-generation digital platform that gives solar asset owners, portfolio managers, investors, and EPC partners direct access to advanced solar performance intelligence.

Built upon years of operational experience and development expertise, the new portal transforms complex performance data into intuitive visual insights, enabling users to identify losses, benchmark assets, and make faster, data-driven decisions
The launch marks a significant milestone in PV Doctor's mission to make advanced solar performance analytics more accessible. Many of the insights previously delivered through specialist reports and consulting engagements are now available directly through an interactive subscription platform.
"Our vision has always been simple: Making solar asset management easier, more transparent, and more actionable. The Smart O&M Portal empowers users to move beyond static reports and interact directly with their performance data whenever they need it." – Dr. André Nobre, Co-Founder & Managing Director of PV Doctor.
The Smart O&M Portal draws on operational insights gathered across more than 2 GWp of solar assets, 2,000+ sites, and 22 countries worldwide.
The platform enables users to monitor and benchmark assets from portfolio level down to individual meters and inverters, while rapidly identifying anomalies and performance gaps. Core capabilities include portfolio benchmarking, Performance Ratio (PR) Evolution, Yield versus Irradiation analysis, uniformity assessment through Coefficient of Variation (CoV), and visualisation tools designed to support faster decision-making.
The platform also provides secure user management and data access controls for asset owners, operators, and end customers. All analytics, benchmarking methodologies, and diagnostic modules are developed entirely by PV Doctor's in-house Data Engineering & Analytics team, ensuring proprietary algorithms remain under PV Doctor's control and client data is never shared with third-party analytical platforms.
"The Smart O&M Portal brings years of performance engineering experience into a practical, intuitive, and actionable platform. Our goal is not simply to show what is happening at a PV system, but to help users understand where performance is being lost and take action." – Jason Ward, Head of Performance Engineering

Recognising that solar portfolios often consist of diverse monitoring infrastructures, the Smart O&M Portal has been designed to accommodate a wide range of system architectures and data sources.
Depending on equipment compatibility and data availability, users can access either Live Performance Tracking or PV Doctor's established daily analytics framework. For systems equipped with compatible equipment and data connectivity, live monitoring provides near real-time visibility into generation and key performance indicators throughout the day.
For other systems, PV Doctor continues to deliver its proven analytics and benchmarking framework using validated daily operational datasets. This flexibility enables portfolio owners to manage both live-monitoring assets and conventional monitoring assets through consistent user experience and a single source of truth.
"Building the Smart O&M Portal in-house meant we could move fast and iterate directly against what our clients actually needed. From llive alarm systems to automated digests, every piece was shaped by the day-to-day realities of monitoring solar assets at scale. It's been as much an engineering challenge as a performance one." – Manav Gupta, Head of Data Science & Engineering

In addition to standard monitoring capabilities, premium subscribers gain access to advanced diagnostic modules developed by PV Doctor's engineering and analytics teams.
These include PV Health Scan, Weather Impact Analysis, Sensor versus Satellite Irradiation Comparison, enhanced benchmarking capabilities, anomaly detection tools, and live KPI alarms designed to help users move beyond identifying underperformance and begin understanding the underlying causes.
"Solar performance data can be overwhelming in its raw form, but when structured and presented the right way, it becomes a clear narrative that anyone can understand and act on. That clarity is exactly what the Smart O&M Portal is designed to deliver." – Anamika Singh, Senior Data Analyst
Upcoming features include Smart Generation Replicator (SGR), a proprietary analytics engine capable of reconstructing expected generation profiles at resolutions as fine as 5-minute intervals. By analysing irradiation conditions, operating patterns, export behaviour, and equipment performance, SGR is designed to uncover hidden losses that conventional monitoring platforms often cannot quantify.
Building upon this foundation, Losses Bucket Analysis will provide a structured breakdown of generation losses into categories such as curtailment, grid interruptions, shutdown events, and shading. These insights will help asset owners understand where energy is being lost, quantify financial impact, and prioritise corrective actions with greater confidence.
Smart Generation Replicator and Losses Bucket Analysis will be available under PV Doctor's highest subscription tier. Availability may vary depending on system configuration, equipment compatibility, data quality, and data granularity available from each site.
The launch of the Smart O&M Portal would not have been possible without the trust and collaboration of PV Doctor's growing customer base. Today, that trust extends across a growing global portfolio of solar assets, systems, and partners.
"Every dashboard, algorithm, and feature within the Smart O&M Portal has been influenced by real-world operational challenges faced by our clients. This platform is the result of thousands of systems, millions of data points, and countless lessons learned in the field." – Dr. André Nobre
Clients currently participating in PV Doctor's complimentary trial programme are encouraged to subscribe during the launch period to secure early-bird pricing, priority onboarding, and access to exclusive launch benefits.
As the platform continues to evolve, subscribers will receive ongoing enhancements and access to future feature releases designed to maximise asset performance and operational efficiency.
