PV Doctor Strengthens Leadership by Expanding its International Advisory Panel and Introduces Performance-based Contracting
During its 2nd International Advisory Panel (IAP) meeting, PV Doctor Pte. Ltd. (“PV Doctor”), a leading provider of science-driven solar diagnostics and asset management solutions, welcomed Mr Carsten ECKERT as newly appointed IAP member. Carsten has 30+ years’ experience in the financial industry and asset management (see below for more information on Mr Eckert and the other IAP members).
During the IAP meeting, PV Doctor also received approval and strong support from the IAP and its Board of Directors to introduce a new business model: “performance-based contracting” (PBC), also known as “revenue sharing”.
Under the PBC model, asset owners are onboarded onto PV Doctor's monitoring platform for a modest annual administration fee. From that point, PV Doctor's compensation is directly tied to results: any measurable improvement in energy yield and revenue attributable to PV Doctor's monitoring and optimisation work is shared between the asset owner and PV Doctor, with the majority of the benefit retained by the system owner. Where no yield improvement is achieved, no performance fee is payable beyond the administration fee. Asset owners therefore assume no downside risk in engaging PV Doctor, and are assured that PV Doctor's incentives are fully aligned with their own from day one.

Carsten ECKERT is a Senior Advisor, Board Member and Business Angel Investor. Various executive roles in a long international career in the regulated financial services industry with CEO/C-Level functions at HypoVereinsbank, Allianz Global Investors and KGAL allowed Carsten to initiate and lead numerous successful projects.
Carsten has decades of investment responsibilities in all relevant asset classes, across all economic cycles, allowing him to differentiate between speculation and sustainable investment processes backed by appropriate governance.
His relevant experience, the aspiration to only pursue sound concepts – from innovative idea to sustainable execution – and the pleasure of common success were the strong motivation for Carsten to support PV Doctor as an Investor and IAP member. He also has current assignments/investments in Heartstocks, YouVestor, Time Partners and the German Club of Finance (pro bono).
Dr. Ian Marius PETERS, an internationally renowned PV researcher, joined the IAP with over 20 years of experience in solar energy research at leading R&D institutions worldwide. He has authored more than 300 scientific publications and is a recipient of the prestigious Hamakawa Award and the European Research Council (ERC) Consolidator Grant. His work has significantly contributed to advancing solar technologies and performance modelling.
Er. Pui-Sun EU, a veteran in the Southeast Asian power sector, brings decades of leadership in the energy industry. He previously served as General Manager and Managing Director for the retail business of a major multinational power producer and has played a pioneering role in the early adoption of solar photovoltaics, electric vehicles (EVs), and renewable energy credits (RECs) in Singapore.
Dr. Shubham DUTTAGUPTA is a global leader in solar photovoltaics and advanced manufacturing, with ~20 years’ experience across Australia, Singapore, and India. As Managing Director of BT Imaging in Sydney, he drives large-scale global deployment of AI-enabled luminescence-based inspection technologies. He offers deep technical expertise, commercial acumen, and governance insight, uniting academia, industry, and government to achieve sustainable, innovation-led growth.
