Dr. André Nobre – Co-Founder & Managing Director
Dr. André Nobre is a seasoned solar energy expert with a doctorate in photovoltaic engineering and more than 40 peer-reviewed publications on PV system performance & long-term behaviour in tropical and Asian climates. At SERIS, he served as Head of the PV System Technology Group, leading a number of pioneering research and industry projects.
Transitioned into the private sector, where he played a key role in building one of Asia’s leading solar developers from its early stages all the way to two major acquisitions. His leadership and technical vision helped scale the company’s asset portfolio and performance capabilities. Rising through the ranks, he ultimately served as Vice President of Asset Management & Performance, overseeing approximately 700 MWp of solar PV systems across more than 500 sites in seven countries.
His rare ability to bridge scientific research with operational excellence is a cornerstone of PV Doctor’s approach; uniting innovation and impact at every stage of the solar lifecycle.
Dr. Thomas Reindl – Co-Founder
Dr. Thomas Reindl, Deputy CEO of the Solar Energy Research Institute of Singapore (SERIS) at the National University of Singapore (NUS), brings over three decades of solar energy expertise. His career began at Siemens Corp. R&D in 1992 and continued at Siemens Solar and Siemens AG before joining ILIOTEC Solar (one of the largest EPC contractors in Germany at that time) as COO from 2006-2010. Since 2010, he has been instrumental in advancing downstream solar research and innovation at SERIS. Under his leadership, the Solar Energy System cluster secured over SGD 20 million in grants, with landmark projects such as the World’s largest floating PV test-bed and the Solar PV Roadmap for Singapore.
Dr. Reindl holds a Master’s in Chemistry, a Ph.D. in Natural Sciences, and an MBA from INSEAD, all awarded with highest honors. His work focuses on high-performance photovoltaics and renewable energy integration, particularly in tropical regions. His vision continues to shape the future of solar energy across academia, government, and industry.
Leadership Team
Jason Ward – Head of Performance Engineering
With a decade of experience in solar and energy storage, Jason has directly managed over 120 MWp of solar capacity across more than 100+ systems. His additional expertise in battery energy storage systems (BESS) enables PV Doctor to stay at the forefront of integrated energy solutions. Jason’s hands-on experience, technical acumen, and strategic mindset are central to the company’s reliable and data-driven service delivery.
Thornthanut Pakdeepinyo – Head of Business Development
Thorn brings deep regional experience, having overseen performance assessment, data analytics, and O&M for nearly 800 MWp of solar PV capacity across 500+ sites in India and Southeast Asia. His background in business consulting and start-ups equips him with the agility and market insight needed to scale PV Doctor’s footprint across the region and into new international markets.
Dannila Choong – Head of Finance
With over 17 years of professional experience – including a decade at a “Big 4” audit firm and seven years in renewable energy – Dannila has successfully led financial teams through scale-up phases and regulatory transitions. She ensures PV Doctor maintains strong financial discipline, operational compliance, and a scalable structure to support rapid growth.
Jo Tan – Head of IT & Digital Solutions
Jo’s expertise lies at the intersection of data, security, and business intelligence. With over 10 years in SWIFT Banking and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) systems, and more recently, three years specialising in solar tech analytics and CRM platforms, she ensures that PV Doctor’s IT infrastructure is robust, secure, and built for the future of smart solar asset management.
Manav Gupta – Head of Data Engineering & Analytics
Manav has 5 years of experience in data analytics, including 4 years in renewable energy, managing data for over 700 MWp across 800+ systems in India and Southeast Asia. He has led the development of predictive analytics tools that optimise performance and drive revenue growth. His background in risk management at a leading credit card company adds depth to his data-driven approach of decision-making and fraud mitigation.
